Cooper Lighting and Security has introduced a new fast-fit luminaire wiring system that offers a simple way of speeding up the installation process as well as facilitating maintenance and any future reconfiguration of a lighting scheme.
Known as the Connect Wiring System, this time-saving innovation uses GST 4-pole self-locking connectors, which have a maximum current rating of 16A and can be plugged in or unplugged under load.
Any product in Cooper's Crompton Lighting range of modular recessed fluorescent luminaires can be specified with an integral panel-mounted socket to make it compatible with the Connect Wiring System.
Luminaires are simply linked together using a Connect Wiring System prefabricated lead kit, which consists of a T-connector and a 3m or 5m length of 4-core LS0H (low smoke zero halogen) cable, fitted with a plug at each end.
Suitable for use with both standard mains and emergency converted luminaires, the Connect Wiring System is ideal for any project where minimising installation time is a key consideration.
