Menvier, part of Cooper Lighting and Security, has introduced the Recessed Safe Edge luminaire - an elegantly styled exit sign that is ideal for use in prestigious locations.
Designed with ease of installation in mind, the luminaire features a separate baseplate, to which the body of the luminaire is attached after the supply cables have been connected. Since only front access is required, the luminaire is straightforward to install in either solid or suspended ceilings.
Recessed Safe Edge operates in maintained mode, providing a minimum of 3 hours' illumination from a 300mm 8W fluorescent lamp in the event of mains failure. Slave luminaire versions are also available.
The new lumianire fully complies with the minimum luminance and uniformity requirements of the new BS5266 Pt 7 1999 standard.
Finnished in a choice of white, gold or chrome, Recessed Safe Edge can be specified to suit most interior environments. It has overall dimensions of 400 x 223 x 80mm and weighs only 1.6kg.
