Cooper Lighting and Security has introduced a new range of Crompton Lighting recessed and surface-mounting luminaires that have been specifically designed to speed up the installation process for contractors.
Supplied in a single box, each luminaire in the Cooper Contract range comes with lamps and louvres already fitted, thereby saving the time and inconvenience of ordering different parts and assembling them on site.
The new range initially consists of the Modulay Contract recessed luminaire and the Chevin Contract surface luminaire.
Modulay Contract is a standard 600 x 600mm recessed fluorescent luminaire, available with either four 18W or four 36W halophosphate lamps and a Category 2 louvre. The louvre is protected with an easy-peel film, keeping the louvre surface clean until the installation has been completed.
Suitable for use in 24mm or 15mm exposed 'T' ceilings, the luminaire has a fully enclosed body for improved strength and includes a pre-wired 3m or 5m cable with strain-relief clamp.
The Chevin Contract surface-mounting luminaire features a shallow-profile body with a lift-and-tilt Category 2 louvre. The luminaire is available in 1.2, 1.5 or 1.8m nominal lengths, accommodating a choice of one or two lamps rated at 36W, 58W or 70W, respectively.
Aimed squarely at contractors who need a no-frills, quick-fit luminaire, the Cooper Contract range can be specified with either switch-start or high-frequency control gear, and integral emergency versions of each type are available as standard.
