Cooper Lighting and Security has expanded its range of exit signs with the introduction of the Menvier Britesign, which utilises high-intensity LEDs to provide unrivalled legend clarity and a light source life in excess of 40,000 hours.
This long life dramatically reduces the disruption caused by the frequent lamp changes needed for conventional fluorescent exit signs when used in maintained mode.
Fully compliant with the demanding performance requirements of EN1838, Britesign has been designed to achieve uniform illumination of the legend, coupled with a viewing distance of up to 30m.
In addition, the high-intensity LEDs provide a significant amount of downlight to illuminate the area immediately below the exit sign in the event of an emergency.
The use of LEDs also results in a slim luminaire profile, which, combined with the clear border surrounding the legend panel, makes for an aesthetically pleasing exit sign.
Available in plated chrome or white or dark grey painted finishes, this stylish yet robust luminaire is ideal for use in a wide variety of locations and is designed for operation in maintained, non-maintained or switched maintained modes.
