Cost-Efficient Lighting Solutions from Cooper Lighting and Safety

Doncaster ,

 –

Cooper Lighting and Safety, a leading manufacturer of energy saving lighting solutions is to hold a Lighting Clinic at the New Building Solutions Event at the Lloyd’s Amphitheatre and Architecture Centre in Bristol on the 31st May 2012.

The event, designed for specifiers, consultants, architects, end-users and commercial property owners and aims to shine a light on safety, performance and energy efficiency in commercial buildings.

The Architecture Centre will play host to keynote speeches from Myles McCarthy, Managing Director of the Carbon Trust Implementation Scheme, Richard Hill, CIBSE South West Chairman and Chris Watts, Chairman of BSI committee for emergency lighting.

Reducing energy consumption and carbon footprint are concerns that have both political and commercial drivers for any business; the Climate Change Act of 2008 sets a legally binding target of at least an 80% cut in greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. Cooper Lighting and Safety is a Carbon Trust accredited supplier working to improve energy efficiency for businesses. To help achieve this, visitors to the Lighting Clinic at the Cooper road show, based at the Lloyd’s Amphitheatre, will be able to gain valuable advice from a Siemens Financial Services consultant about appropriate finance packages.

Siemens offer Energy Efficiency Financing* to qualifying companies for installing energy efficient lighting solutions. With low energy lighting and an appropriate finance package, the installation can be cash positive from day one, effectively giving the business free lighting.

Martin Mullin, Managing Director of Cooper Lighting and Safety, commented. “With ever-increasing energy costs, saving energy is a priority for most companies and there are a number of ways for businesses to reduce consumption, however, many of them can be costly and time-consuming. One simple, quick and cost effective way is to replace existing inefficient lighting with the latest low energy luminaires. New advances in technology mean we can often replace fixtures with more efficient solutions, for example the old T8 fluorescent tubes can be replaced with the more energy efficient T5. Similarly, a 400W metal halide fixture can be replaced with a 120W LED.

“The New Building Solutions road show offers delegates the chance to learn how to reduce energy consumption, while also discovering ways to effectively manage energy usage, all of which can help improve the bottom line. Visitors will have the opportunity to network with energy industry professionals, put their questions to the experts and share ideas for implementing energy management programs.”

The event runs from 8.00am-4.00pm, with complimentary breakfast, lunch and refreshments throughout the day.
