Aiming to reduce the environmental impact of a wide variety of energy related products throughout their life cycle

In August 2005, the EcoDesign of Energy using Products (EuP) Directive (2005/32/EC) became law in the European Union (EU) and subsequently expanded in November 2009 to include Energy related Products (ErP) (2009/125/EC).

This framework Directive aims to reduce the environmental impact of a wide variety of energy related products throughout their life cycle, promoting environmental awareness and driving electrical equipment manufacturers to consider energy efficiency and ecodesign in product development.

As part of this Directive, Regulation 244/2009 and 245/2009 requires lighting manufacturers to provide detailed performance information for the lamps and ballasts used in their luminaires, thereby demonstrating the energy usage criteria of their products.

Eaton's lighting products have utilised the very latest in energy efficient components for many years, and have provided our customers with this detailed performance data through a series of Lighting Solutions publications. Please follow these links for quick access to our latest data.
